APE International Bootcamp was completed
Students from UCT successfully completed the APE International Bootcamp (Academic Program for Entrepreneurship) with students from Hochschule München (Munich University of Applied Sciences), Edinburgh Napier University, The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
Our student, Barbora Tichá was a member of the winning team (out of 12 teams)! The team can join the incubator at Hochschule München and co-develop the solution with FC Bayern!
The students learned broad range of strategies and skills for careers as entrepreneurs and corporate innovators. They worked on real-world challenges and transformed them into viable, feasible and desirable market offerings. The topic of the 2021 bootcamp was “Future of Sports”. Specific topics which students learned about during this intensive week were different forms of entrepreneurship, Design Thinking tools and methods, Lean Startup strategies, qualitative and quantitative market research, developing opportunity areas, idea generation, business modeling and financial modeling, searching vs. executing a business model, bootstrapping vs. external funding, the shape of the venture capital industry in Germany, entrepreneurial competencies, working in multi-disciplinary teams, working in remote/hybrid teams and pitching.
