AMSP ČR pomáhá Zambii s agro-ekonomickým rozvojem

 Asociace malých a středních podniků a živnostníků ČR ve spolupráci se Zambijskou rozvojovou agenturou uskutečnila ve dnech 27.9. – 3.10.2021 týdenní konzultační mise po Zambii. Cesta se uskutečnila v rámci projektu CACHA: Connecting Zambian Small and Medium-sized Agricultural Centers to Global Value Chains

Týdenní konzultační mise do Lusaky, hlavního města Zambie, se účastnil tým 6 odborníků v čele s reprezentantkou AMSP ČR Mgr. Kristýnou Strnadovou. Za VŠCHT Praha se cesty zúčastnil Ing. Patrick Francis Kapila, Ph.D. z Ústavu ekonomiky a managementu. Dále se účastnili Ing. Martin Dvořák (Botanická zahrada hl.m.Prahy), Martina Havlíková (Charita ČR),  doc. Ing.  Vladimír Krepl, Csc. (Zemědělská Univerzita), Ing. Miroslav Pavlák, Ph.D. (Vysoká škola finanční a správní).

Hlavním cílem projektu je podpořit konkurenceschopnost zambijských mikro, malých a středně velkých zemědělských center a farem, zajištění jejich vstupu na lokální, národní a mezinárodní trhy a jejich stabilního napojení na světové hodnotové řetězce. Projekt je zaměřen na podporu pěstitelů manioku jedlého známého také jako cassava či tapioka.

V průběhu týdne byla probírána různá témata, od problematiky samotného pěstování manioku, přes zpracování samotného produktu, jeho diverzifikace a tvorby přidané hodnoty až k cestě k zákazníkovi a hledání nových trhů, kam s produktem vstoupit.

AMSP CR helps Zambia with agro-economic development

The Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Zambia Development Agency undertook a  consultation mission to Zambia from 27.9. - 3.10.2021. The trip was part of the CACHA project: Connecting Zambian Small and Medium-sized Agricultural Centers to Global Value Chains

 A week-long consultation mission of selected Czech experts to Lusaka, Zambia took place. During the mission, a series of multilateral meetings was organized, including representatives of 7 cassava-related organizations and institutions from all, private, state and academic sector. Furthermore, an event of 2 panel debates between Czech and Zambian experts took place.

The  consultation mission to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, was led by AMSP CR representative Mgr. Kristýna Strnadová. The team of 6 experts comprised of Ing. Patrick Francis Kapila, Ph.D. from the Institute of Economics and Management UCT Prague, Ing. Martin Dvořák (Botanical Garden of the Capital City of Prague), Martina Havlíková (Caritas CR), doc. Ing. Vladimir Krepl, Csc. (University of Agriculture), Ing. Miroslav Pavlak, Ph.D. (University of Finance and Administration).

The main goal of the project is to support the global competitiveness of Zambia's micro, small and medium-sized agricultural centers and farms, to ensure their entry into local, national and international markets and their stable connection to the network. The project is aimed at supporting growers of edible cassava, also known as cassava or tapioca.

During the consultative mission, various issues were discussed, from the issue of cassava cultivation itself, through the processing of the product itself, its diversification and value addition.  Issues related to cassava value chain as commodity; and the search for new markets for the product were also tabled.

At the end of December last year, The Peer-to-Peer Review Report was prepared by the team of experts of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic, led by Ing. Patrick Francis Kapila, PhD. and collated by Mgr. Kristýna Strnadová.
