Jiří Sauer hostem kurzu Lean Startup
V rámci kurzu Lean Startup spolupracuje VŠCHT Praha se společností Deloitte Česká republika. Na poslední lekci kurzu se k nám připojil Jiří Sauer, partner Deloitte Česká republika, se svými kolegy.
Podělili se s námi o poznatky o startupovém a technologickém ekosystému ve střední a východní Evropě. Hovořili také o programu Technology Fast 50 Central Europe organizovaném společností Deloitte.
Jiří Sauer je partnerem v oddělení Audit & Assurance společnosti Deloitte Česká republika. Specializuje se na poskytování služeb především americkým společnostem, a dále klientům v oblasti technologií, médií a telekomunikací. Je lokálním lídrem soutěže Deloitte Technology Fast 50, která každoročně oceňuje nejrychleji rostoucí technologické firmy a zastřešuje komunitu těchto firem v rámci iniciativy Deloitte Private.
V Deloitte působí od roku 2005. V letech 2009 až 2011 působil v kanceláři Deloitte v kalifornském San Jose.
Jiří je členem britské Asociace autorizovaných účetních znalců a auditorů (FCCA), členem Institutu certifikovaných účetních v Anglii a Walesu (ACA), je registrován jako certifikovaný veřejný účetní a auditor (CPA) ve Spojených státech, je držitelem titulu dipIFR a je zapsán jako statutární auditor v České republice.
Slovy studentky, která shrnuje své poznatky z hodiny: „Biotechnologické podnikání je krokem do budoucnosti. Propojování lidí je stále platné, počínaje dobou Nokie. Podnikání v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje je nejtěžší z pohledu nákladů a přínosů“.
Kromě toho, že studentům předáváme praktické dovednosti v oblasti entre- a intrapreneurshipu jim poskytujeme propojení s místními a regionálními ekosystémy, ale také inspiraci z jiných zemí a kontinentů a zároveň podněty o celé škále příležitostí včetně deep tech.

Students of UCT Prague getting insights into Central European tech ecosystem from Deloitte!
For the Lean Startup course UCT Prague has partnered with Deloitte Czech Republic. In a last session of the course we were joined by the Deloitte Czech Republic Partner, Jiří Sauer and his colleagues.
They shared insights into the CEE startup and technology ecosystem. They also discussed the Technology Fast 50 Central Europe program organized by Deloitte.
Jiří Sauer is a Partner in the Audit & Assurance function of Deloitte Czech Republic. He specializes in providing services primarily to US companies and clients operating in the area of technology, media and telecommunication. He is the local leader of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program that annually recognizes the fastest-growing technological firms and oversees the community of these firms under the Deloitte Private initiative. Jiří joined Deloitte in 2005 when he obtained a degree in international trade at the University of Economics in Prague. He was seconded to Deloitte’s office in San Jose, California between 2009 and 2011. Jiří is a member of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA), he is registered as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States, he holds the dipIFR qualification and he is registered as a statutory auditor in the Czech Republic.
In the words of a student summarizing her insights from the session: “Biotech business is a step to the future. Connecting people is still valid starting from Nokia times. R&D businesses are the “heaviest” for cost & benefit analysis”.
Besides giving students practical skills in entre- and intrapreneurship we aim to provide them connections to the local and regional ecosystems, yet also inspirations from other countries and continents while discussing a range of opportunities including deep tech.
