The SFF Deep Teach Valleys – STEM2Venture Pathway project supports the development of entrepreneurial competences in STEM and helps connect research with the business environment. It focuses on STEM students, researchers, academic staff, and Technology and Knowledge Transfer Office (TTO/KTO) staff.
The project brings together 9 partners from 9 European countries and, through a shared Open STEM-Incubator, creates opportunities to support new entrepreneurial ideas, validate them and further develop their potential. The project also aims to strengthen local STEM ecosystems and cooperation between universities, research organisations and other relevant stakeholders.
What the project will deliver
The project focuses on four main areas:
- Entrepreneurial education – developing and delivering training modules for students, researchers and academic staff.
- Research entrepreneurship – practical activities focused on team formation, idea validation and assessing their potential for further development.
- Open STEM-Incubator – shared support for the creation and development of new ventures and start-ups.
- Research commercialisation – support for intellectual property management, identification of research results with commercial potential, and development of services for TTO/KTO staff.
The long-term goal is to establish sustainable educational opportunities and an open STEM incubator that will continue to be used beyond the end of the project.
